The Shepherd and the Whale
At the end of the nineteenth century, in the rugged mountains of Corsica, Ulivieru, a young goat shepherd, stumbles upon a stranded whale on a remote beach. Beneath the massive flank of the animal lies the lifeless body of a young sailor. The discovery unsettles Ulivieru, whose knowledge of the wider world comes only from the weekly visits of the village schoolteacher. As rumors and questions ripple through his isolated community, the mysterious bond between the whale and the sailor begins to hint at a dark and buried secret.
