Laia Aguilar
Laia Aguilar was born in Barcelona in 1976 and has a degree in Audiovisual Communication. She combines writing books with scriptwriting for television series. She has published the book Wolfgang, Extraordinary, which was the winner of the 2016 Carlemany Prize and the 2018 Atrapallibres Prize, Wolfgang, Dad’s Secret (the first book’s sequel), and Juno, which won the 2020 Menjallibres Prize and the 2020 Protagonista Jove prize. With the novel Sea of Stars (Pluja d’estels) she changed course and turned to adult fiction. The work was awarded the 2020 Josep Pla Award. Other Mothers (Les altres mares) is her latest novel, published in Catalan and translated into Spanish in 2022.
