Mayte Uceda

Mayte Uceda (Asturias, 1967) is a Spanish author who has published six novels to date, to great critical acclaim: Los ángeles de la torre (The Angels of the Tower, 2014) and Un amor para Rebeca (A Love for Rebeca, 2015), which were published digitally; Alicia y el teorema de los monos infinitos (Alicia and the Theory of Infinite Monkeys), published by Planeta in 2016 and translated into Bulgarian, Italian, and German; El guardián de la marea (The Guardian of the Tide), published by Planeta in 2021; El maestro de azúcar (The Sugar Master), which was published in 2024 and translated into French, Russian, Romanian, Slovak and Slovenian, and her sixth novel, Los amores paralelos (Parallel Loves), published in early 2026. She lives in a village on the Asturian coast.
