At the Pontas Agency, we’re excited to start 2018 with the aim to add to our catalogue some new and interesting authors and novels written in English from any background, and from any country in the whole world. So, if you’re a writer looking for a literary agency with a broad and international approach, keep reading!
In 2018, we're looking for:
Smart, complex and addictive [commercial] thrillers with a female protagonist;
Funny, witty fiction from the African continent or by an author with African heritage;
Experienced film screenwriters debuting their first novel;
Clever dystopia for the current times;
A big novel set in today’s Middle East;
A feminist retelling of a cultural event or work of art, with a love or suspense story throughout;
A modern day love story.
It’s important to note that we specially welcome female writers, wherever you are from, wherever you live. And also unexpected settings and characters, cross-cultural stories and interesting backgrounds.
