'Ce qu'elle ne m'a pas dit' (What She Never Told Me) by Isabelle Bary is out in French

September 2nd 2016 was publication day for Isabelle Bary and her novel Ce qu'elle ne m'a pas dit (What She Never Told Me), published by Éditions Luce Wilquin, a novel that kept all of us at Pontas Agency glued till the very end and that we think deserves a special attention on this rentrée.

For the launch of Ce qu'elle ne m'a pas dit (What She Never Told Me), Isabelle Bary participated in the Literary Festival of Morges in Switzerland, where she signed many copies! The novel has kicked off with some great reviews and her «terribly addictive imperfect characters», as quoted in the literary magazine Le Carnet et les Instants, are the kind of protagonists that you want to invite to your home and spend more time with.

Here's the signing table of Isabelle Bary at the Literary Festival of Morges... with her chair empty as she's the one taking the picture!

Morges 2016

Isabelle Bary is one of the most recent francophone writers to sign up with the Pontas Agency.  Born in Vilvoorde, Belgium, in 1968 to a half English mom and a French-speaking dad, writing has been Isabelle Bary’s wish since childhood, but the possibility of actually doing that came much later. In between working as an account manager at Saatchi and Saatchi, backpacking around the world for a year and being CEO of a big company for seven years, she has written Ce qu'elle ne m'a pas dit (What She Never Told Me), among other previous novels.

At times cruel, at times funny and desperate, the revelation of this secret will gradually unleash a story that will bring together Marie and her daughter. Isabelle Bary has constructed a novel where imagination, memory, love humor and joy of life come together.

A mother-daughter story, but also a page-turning mystery spanning different generations, Ce qu'elle ne m'a pas dit (What She Never Told Me) is novel where imagination, memory, love humor and joy of life come together. We’re delighted to be representing Isabelle, whose talent we believe in very much, and look forward to making her works known outside the francophone domain.
