Maria Àngels Anglada

Maria Àngels Anglada (1930 – 1999) is one of the most important 20thcentury Catalan writers. Anglada gained the literary recognition of the readers and the critics with the Josep Pla award, received in 1978 with the publication of her first novel: Les closes. With the years she turned into one of the most prestigious and read Catalan writers. Maria Àngels Anglada is also the author of many novels, essays and poetry books. Anglada was awarded with the Octavi Pellissa Premium for her posthumous short-stories book Night of 1911.
