Madeleine Feeny

London born and bred, I began life in 1986. After studying English Literature at the University of Bristol, I did internships at Granta and Peters, Fraser & Dunlop before landing my first job in publicity at Little, Brown Book Group. Later I moved to Bloomsbury, where I became a Publicity Manager for Fiction. Yet I had always been drawn to editorial, so in 2015 I became Assistant Editor to Bloomsbury´s Editor-in-Chief, working with authors such as George Saunders, Margaret Atwood and Jhumpa Lahiri.

After moving to Barcelona, I started at Pontas in July 2018. I enjoy reading writers from all corners of the globe, and am interested in distinctive voices, experimental fiction and sharp observation authors such as Deborah Levy, Jenny Offill, Han Kang and Ottessa Moshfegh. A keen traveller, I love exploring the landscape and culture – mountains, beach, languages and architecture – of my adopted home.
