Laura Gost (Mallorca, 1993) is a writer and scriptwriter. She has written and published several short stories, plays and screenplays. In 2018 she received the Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film with Woody & Woody, for which she was both the creator and scriptwriter. In 2018, she received the Jaume II Prize and the Bartomeu Rosselló-Pòrcel Prize in recognition of the outstanding success of a young artist. In 2019, she was the winner of the V Dramaturgy Tournament in the Balearic Islands for her work Seguí. The Eldest Cousin, her first novel, was the best-selling book of Sant Jordi 2019 in Palma and the most sold in the Catalan language fiction category at the Palma Book Fair of the same year.
