I Met Someone Today

Publication: 2008

Ginebra is twenty-seven years old. She lives with her best friend in Barcelona, but she adores New York; she’s a fashion stylist but believes putting too much care into one’s clothing and image to be vulgar; she doesn’t stand tardiness, but she’s always late; she declares herself to be frivolous, but she spends her days making up theories about everything that surrounds her. Ginebra is of the opinion that the only one truly serious life goal is the pursuit of happiness and freedom.

I Met Someone Today is a debut Bildungsroman about the challenges of growing up, and about the various limits and possibilities of love.
