Pontas is ready for 2011!

We are about to reach the end of 2010 and the whole Pontas team is wishing you a successful 2011 full of new projects!!

This year 2010 has been quite difficult in the publishing and film industries; sales are slowing down, advances too and we are more aware than ever that the copyright is in danger. Governments are not ready to stop piracy yet; laws, when existing, are not strong enough. But there is no Plan B: digital publishing and changes in the film industry have arrived to stay. We are just at the beginning of a very new era and at Pontas we want to make sure that we can provide a good service to our clients and as much answers as possible!

Besides continuing our weekly post in this blog launched in 2008, this year 2010 Pontas has started to use the social networks as working tools. We have published between one and three daily news (from Monday to Friday) in Facebook (through the Pontas fanpage and Anna Soler-Pont’s profile) and also in Twitter(@PontasAgency). We´ll be happy if you follow us to know more about our activities and results!

The world is changing fast, information travels differently. And we want to make sure that the books and films we work for get to as much territories and markets, readers and audiences as possible! Using technology and also travelling ourselves wherever is needed! (this 2010 we’ ve been working in Berlin, Papeete, Abu Dhabi, Paris, Cannes, Lisboa, Stockholm, Göteborg, Frankfurt, Los Angeles and New Delhi, among other professional appointments and besides being based in Barcelona and often in Madrid).

We’ll continue in 2011, always building bridges between literature and films, cultures and ideas!
