Paola Guevara (Cali, Colombia, 1977) is a journalist and writer. Her first job as a journalist was for Cambio Magazine, owned and directed, among others, by Gabriel García Márquez. She currently works for the newspaper El País de Cali, as Editor-in-Chief for Culture, Entertainment and Trends, as well as for Gente and Gaceta magazines. Her debut novel, My Father and Other Accidents, is based on a text message that she received from her mother, revealing the real identity of her father after 34 years of lies. She currently lives in Cali with her husband and two kids, combining journalism with the writing of her new novel.
