A born and bred Londoner, I began life in 1986 in a house full of books and soon, in true only-child style, became an incorrigible bookworm. Bedtime was an opportunity for illicit torchlit reading – from children’s classics to battered Penguin crime paperbacks. After studying English Literature at the University of Bristol, I completed internships at Granta and Peters, Fraser & Dunlop agency, before landing my first job as Publicity Assistant at Little, Brown Book Group. Later I moved to Bloomsbury, where I became a Publicity Manager specializing in Fiction. Yet I had always been drawn to editorial, so in 2015 I moved department, becoming Assistant Editor to Bloomsbury´s Editor-in-Chief. In this role, I honed my editorial eye working with prize-winning and bestselling authors on a variety of literary and commercial fiction and non-fiction.
In 2017, spurred by a desire to live in another city, I moved to Barcelona, where I began teaching and working as a freelance editor. In July 2018 I started my role at Pontas, an agency whose international outlook and client list embody the potential for literature to transcend borders. Passionate about the arts and travel, I love exploring the culture and landscape of my adopted home.
