Jordi Cabré was born in Barcelona in 1974 and currently works as a lawyer. He is one of the most outstanding Catalan writers whithin the new generation of Catalan language authors.
He has written several novels since 2000, for which he has obtained some of the most important Catalan literary prizes. His first novel, Postal de Krypton, became finalist of the Enric Valor prize. The Devil’s Prayer (Proa, 2003) was the winner of the Lector de l’Odissea and is his second novel. He has also published Rubic a les palpentes or El virus de la tristesa, which was awarded the Llorenç de Villalonga Prize in 2005 and was simultaneously published by Proa and Moll.
