Fabienne Jacob was born in 1959 in Lorraine (France), close to the German border. She worked as a teacher at the Comoros archipelago before moving to Paris, where she had several jobs until she could devout herself fully to writing. She participated in writing residencies in France, Switzerland, Canada and Germany. She has published a collection of short stories and five novels, published in France by Gallimard or Buchet-Chastel. Two of them have been nominated for the prestigious Prix Fémina Award and all her work has been widely praised by critics and the public.
