Mossad: Israel's prime intelligence service. Formally known as Mossad le Aliyah Beth. Employs some 1,500 full-time staff. Less than 100 are field agents. But has an estimated one million informers within the Jewish Diaspora.
 
Kidon: Mossad's state-backed assassination team. Based in the Negev Desert. Current strength said to be 48, six of them women. All are in their late twenties and superbly fit. Usually work in teams of four. The name "Kidon" comes from the Hebrew word meaning "bayonet".

Since the creation of the Mossad in March of 1951, its agents have been dedicated to searching out those who oppose the State of Israel in the most remote areas of the globe. The first operation which received political authorisation was to carry out an act of revenge. This was done in May of 1960, when David Ben-Guiron permitted Isser Harel to kidnap and bring Adolf Eichmann to Israel. Eichmann had been living in Buenos Aires under another name at that time. He was executed in 1962. The success of this operation, code-named “Garibaldi”, spurred the creation of the Kidon, or the sub-group which was employed as executioners in the special operations department of the Mossad. The Kidon and its members, became the spearheads of the new group whose main goal was to get revenge on the enemies of Israel.

This book outlines each member of the Kidon, who with the authorization of the Prime Minister of Israel and in the name of Israel itself, executed war criminals, Nazis, Palestinian and German terrorists, scientists who were working on nuclear energy in Iraq, leaders of the OLP and Hamas, expert engineers in armaments, weapon traffickers, and also a tycoon. The Kidones of Mossad eliminate, using any means necessary, anyone who is suspected of being a real danger or a potential danger to the State of Israel.
