Aram's Notebook

Aram’s Notebook is the story of Aram, a 13 year’s old boy who gets involved in a massive exodus to escape from a definite death. In 1915, the Turkish government ordered the extermination of the Armenian people and, like Aram, millions of men, women and children suffered one of the most terrible prosecutions of the 20th century.

If in The Auschwitz Violin Anglada evokes the Jewish Holocaust, the Aram’s Notebook recovers from the oblivion the Armenian genocide and sheds light on the massacre through a very shocking tale. Aram’s story, written with sobriety and with a deep sensibility, is the story of a fight not only for the physical survival but also for the memory of a personal and collective history that nobody will be able to destroy.
