Biography Pep Subirós Born in Figueres (Girona), in 1947. Writer and philosopher, Pep Subirós was a professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona from 1972 to 1979 and has been a visiting professor at New York University and a research fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center. In 1985 he was appointed co-ordinator of the Cultural Department of the Barcelona City Council and in 1989 councillor-delegate for the Cultural Olympics.
