Eric Frattini (Lima, 1963) is a member of the Press Association of Madrid, The Organization of Foreign Correspondents in Israel, the Association of Palestinian Journalists in Occupied Territories, and the Arab League Journalist’s Association, of which he is a member of high honour. He has lived in Beirut, Lebanon, Nicosia and Jerusalem and has been a witness to many international conflicts such as the end of the War in Lebanon, the conflict on the Gaza Strip, the Irani-Iraqi War, the Gulf War, the war in Kurdistan and the war in Chechnya. He has also interviewed various prominent figures such as Yasser Arafat, Isaac Rabin, Shimon Peres, Ariel Sharon, Hosni Mubarak, Nelson Mandela, Colin Powell, Henry Kissinger, James Baker and Jimmy Carter.
His investigations on subjects such as the history of American Mafia, world corporations and media moguls or the war in Irak have all been published with a huge success and translated abroad, among others in the United States, France, Italy, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Brazil, Russia, Poland, Bulgaria or Romania. His renowned essay, The Holy Alliance. Five Centuries of Vatican Espionage, published by Espasa Calpe in 2004, has sold, only in Spain, more than 200.000 copies to date.
