| Born in 1964 in Johor Bahru (Southern Malaysia) of Chinese-Thai parentage, Beth Yahp grew up in Malaysia and moved to Australia in 1984 to go to University. She lives in Paris and is writing her second novel. In 1997 she was judged one of the “Best Young Australian Writers” by the Sydney Morning Herald. The Crocodile Fury was awarded the Victorian Premier’s Prize for First Fiction 1993 and the New South Wales Ethnic Affairs Commission Award in 1993. |
