Biography Andrés Rabadán
Andrés Rabadán was imprisoned in 1994 for the murder of his father. This is his biography in his own words: "I was born on the 29th of May, 1973 in Premià de Mar [Catalonia]. I'm the youngest of three siblings from a relatively poor family. When I was nine years old my mother committed suicide, my sister left home, and my brother was deeply distraught. The family was falling apart. From then on, I grew up with a tendency toward isolation and an interest in performing "experiments."...When I was eighteen, in Malgrat de Mar (my second and final place of residence) I turned part of the basement into a metal shop. Once, by mistake, I nearly burned the house down. As far as school goes, I went through tenth and eleventh grade in Premià, with mediocre grades. I had to do eleventh grade twice. I did twelfth grade in Mataró, in night school while during the day I did construction work. I only made it half way through the year. A short time later I went back to school, this time in Blanes. Strangely enough, that time around I managed quite a few good grades... Shortly after beginning a University preparatory course, in 1994, I was arrested for murder. Really, it had been more than a year since I'd lost all contact with the outside world."
