I was born in Barcelona in 1973, in a Belgian but Mediterranean lifestyle lover family. I went to school in the Lycée Français, and then started without too much enthusiasm to study Laws. Luckily the tedious classes gave me the opportunity to read heaps of novels, which finally led me to a Humanities graduation in the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona. After one year of cheerful life in Berlin, where I could eagerly practice the arduous German declinations, I decided to settle down by doing a doctorate in Political Sciences. Since then, I've always tried to work surrounded with the things I like the most: books. May it be as rights manager of the independent publishing house Acantilado/Quaderns Crema or, for the last three years, as literary agent. At the beginning of 2008, I had the opportunity to become part of the young and dynamic Pontas team, in which I keep on discovering everyday with enthusiasm the richness of the literatures from the five continents. |
