I was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1972. I’ve always been very curious and excited to learn about everything in life, and I always considered myself fortuned and sometimes also saved by my great companion in life, reading. Since very young I dreamed about places, cultures and different languages were I sited myself and I felt at home immediately. When I finished school I started working at once to be able to travel to and study at different places. By 20 I went to San Sebastian in Spain and with this, my first contact with the Spanish language, I felt an attraction that still lasts… After three years of packing and unpacking my bags I started to study Spanish Philology and Universal Literature at the Universities of Gothenburg and Lund. A scholarship brought me to Barcelona where I finally settled down and have grown up in many senses: as an adult, professionally and started up a family. During all these years I’ve been working hard to immerse the Spanish and Catalan culture and language, for personal and professionally reasons, through the book publishing companies Paidós, Edicions de l’Eixample and Grup 62. And now, from Pontas, for the first time in all these years I have the opportunity to synchronize my Swedish roots with all the literary cultures in the world.
